Editorial Board Policy for IJNSET
IJNSET recognizes the importance of an esteemed Editorial Board in the success and quality of the journal. The contributions of our Editorial Board members are vital in enhancing the credibility and content of the journal. To ensure the high standards of our publication, we follow a rigorous selection process for Editorial Board members. Below are the guidelines and criteria for researchers to meet our Editorial Board policy. All members are expected to uphold the highest ethical and publication standards in alignment with the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
General Guidelines for Editorial Board Members
- Editors are responsible for the overall content of the journal.
- Contribute to the journal’s development and management through collaborative relationships with other board members.
- Update reviewers and authors with new policies and guidelines when necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with the editorial office to ensure journal integrity.
- Ensure the integrity of all published work.
- Ensure the protection of individual data and confidentiality in all editorial processes.
- Provide constructive, fair, and timely feedback to authors for their contributions.
- Help elevate the journal’s reputation within their academic community.
- Represent and promote the journal at academic meetings and conferences.
Editorial Board Member Criteria
- The Editor-in-Chief must have publications in reputable international peer-reviewed journals.
- An academic rank higher than Professor, or an equivalent academic standing, is preferred for the Editor-in-Chief.
Editor-in-Chief
The Editor-in-Chief will serve a two-year renewable term.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief
- Lead the journal’s editorial team and take responsibility for the content published.
- Guide the journal’s development and ensure its quality in terms of the articles published.
- Encourage the submission of high-quality research papers.
- Provide fair and constructive feedback to authors, editors, and reviewers.
- Monitor and promote the journal’s performance and implement new policies when required.
- Assist in organizing the annual meetings of the Editorial Board and educate the members about updated information and new policies.
- Collaborate with other editorial members to set annual objectives and assign responsibilities for the peer review process, ensuring their timely completion.
- Ensure manuscripts are original, not plagiarized, and not previously published elsewhere.
- Handle ethical issues, complaints, and appeals regarding publication standards.
- Provide recommendations to the publisher regarding new policies and suggestions for the journal’s development.
- In the absence of the Editor-in-Chief, an Associate Editor will assume the role and responsibilities.
Note:
Editorial Board members are expected to review around 10-50 manuscripts per year. Failure to meet this requirement may lead to removal from the Editorial Board, in accordance with the journal’s editorial policy.
Please note that the criteria outlined above may be amended as necessary by the Editorial Office in order to best serve the journal's mission.
